Secure services of a panel consisting of a Lead Examiner and at least 2 further panel members.
To host a Regional Dan promotion test, a group or club host should:
1. Secure a Lead Examiner with a 6th Dan Kukkiwon certificate of higher.
2. Form a grading panel with at least 3 examiners, including the Lead Examiner and with 2 further Examiners of at least 5th Dan National level or Kukkiwon certificate or higher.*
* If testing candidates for 5th Dan – Panels will need to hold a minimum of 3 x 6th Dan Examiners

Complete Sanction form at least 1 month before grading
The Lead Examiner must register the Regional Dan promotion test with the UK Kukkiwon Office at least 1 month before the planned grading date and receive a sanction code before publishing the event.
(This sanction approval code will be unique and will be used to be able to trace the progress of the Kukkiwon applications)
Conduct the Dan Promotion test and issue a Graduation Certificate on the day
The Lead Examiner must ensure the grading is conducted in a correct manner and to a thorough syllabus.
A UK Kukkiwon Office officer may attend and observe any sanctioned test.
Hosts may issue a Graduation Certificate on the test day so successful candidates have something to take home whilst they await their official Kukkiwon Dan certificate.
MNA hosts may purchase graduation award certificates or use their own designs, but these must not say ”Dan Certificate” and must be approved by the UK Kukkiwon Office in advance.

Get all successful candidates to register themselves on the Kukkiwon TCON system and obtain unique codes for each applicant
All successful candidates must register on the Kukkiwon TCON system to apply for their certificate.

Candidates must upload a photo (jpg, max 300KB) during TCON sign-up to appear on their ID card.

Once the applications have been checked and confirmed, the Lead Examiner will receive a payment link.
Only once payment has been received, the applications for Kukkiwon certificates will be made.

The above prices are for the cost of the Kukkiwon certificate and processing by the UK Kukkiwon Office
– Club hosts and examiners charge candidates additional fees on top of the cost of the Kukkiwon certificate. These generally cover costs such as the organisation of the test, examiner fees, venue charges and other host administrative expenses.
– Instructors entering candidates into regional promotion test events are advised to confirm with the organiser of the promotion test before any test takes place, the full and final cost, including a Kukkiwon certificate for each rank.
– The UK Kukkiwon Office is not responsible for the setting of charges at regional level.
Applications for Kukkiwon certificates will only be made when:
– A regional promotion test has been pre-registered and sanctioned by the UK Kukkiwon Office.
– The applications for Kukkiwon certificates come from the listed Lead Examiner of the pre-sanctioned promotion test.
– Payment is received in full for the Kukkiwon certificates.

If there are any certificates that need replacing for any reason, the UK Kukkiwon Office must be notified within 28 days of receipt of the certificates by the Lead Examiner.

A club or group wishing to host a Regional Dan promotion test event must first secure the services of a Lead Examiner.
This examiner must hold a 6th Dan Kukkiwon certificate or higher.
A grading panel must consist of a minimum of 3 examiners, so hosts must secure the services of at least 2 further examiners.
These examiners must hold a 5th Dan National or Kukkiwon certificate or higher
(Note: For British Taekwondo clubs hosting a Regional Dan promotion test, all candidates must be British Taekwondo members and all examiners must be British Taekwondo members with indemnity insurance & DBS / PVG / AccessNI)

This form is to be used by Masters wishing to be added to the published list of Examiners approved to lead and conduct Dan Promotion Tests in the UK
To be an Examiner you need to evidence that you are Kukkiwon 5th Dan or above certificate holder.
By submitting this form, Masters are consenting to their Kukkiwon rank details and email contact information being published and to being contacted by prospective hosts of Dan grading events.
